FAQ

Calculator FAQs

How does the repayment calculator work?

It takes the asset price and your deposit to find the amount financed, then spreads that over the term you choose at the annual rate you assume, on a reducing-balance basis, to illustrate a monthly payment. It is a guide to help you plan, not a quote.

Is this a formal quote?

No. The figures are an illustration based on the assumptions you enter. Your actual rate depends on the asset, its age, the deposit, the term and your trading record. Send us the deal for firm indicative terms, which are free and carry no obligation.

What rate should I put in?

Use a rate you have been quoted, or a cautious estimate to plan around. Asset finance rates vary widely by asset and covenant, so treat any figure here as indicative and confirm the real rate with us before you rely on it.

Does it include the balloon or final payment?

This simple illustration amortises the whole amount financed over the term. Hire purchase often has an option-to-purchase fee at the end, and leasing or a balloon structure changes the monthly figure, so ask us for a tailored illustration for your structure.
